Wow Karen!!! These cakes are amazing!!! :) You are incredibly talented!! :) I was actually just looking at specialty cakes today at Publix and yours blows theirs out of the water! :) Thank you for sharing :)
OMG! Karen, your cakes are too much. And look so real - I've seen that pocketbook one on your sidebar for a while now, and never even realized it was a cake! There's your hidden talent, lady!
Hi Ellen, thanks for stopping by! No I don't use a Cricut Cake, I bought one, and I did use it for the Easter Cake with the Bunnies and the baskets on the side, but then I found that I wasn't using it at all, so I sold it. I kinda wish I didn't, but maybe I will save my pennies again, and buy another one!! LOL
I have a Cricut Cake ... have had it since August 2010 and it's still in the box, unused. The only thing I used from it is the cartridge that came with it (Cake Basics), which I use ALL the time. LOL. My hubby bought it for me as a birthday present, thinking I'd experiment with different things to cut (pasta, burritos, cookies, ham/cheese, clay) and/or make great cakes for HIM. Well, maybe I will break it out next week and play.
Hi Ellen, I think the problem was that it was to big, I think that is why they came out with the smaller one. I think that I might buy that one some day. I think that is really all you need. Because you can make a border as long as you want, and then you can make as many items as you want by just putting in another mat. Good luck with yours!! Karen
Girl you are awesome.
