New Addition

Hi Everyone, I wanted to thank you all for your king thoughts and prayers, I am feeling much better, and will be back soon.  I just wanted to show you some pictures of the new addition to our family!! Her name is Bailey, and she is 8 weeks old.  She weighs about 4 lbs, and will probably only get to  about 7.  She is the sweetest thing, we have had her for 4 days, and we have all fallen completely in love with her, and I know when you see the pictures, you will understand why!  Again everyone, thanks for the cards, emails, or thoughtful comments, and I will see you soon!  Karen♥

Heart Attack Scare!

Hi Everyone, I will not be here for a bit, I was sick over the weekend, and on Sunday, I felt awful! I was throwing up, sweating, and had one of the worst pains I have ever had, that came across my back, chest, and down my left arm. The other day, I had horrible chest pressure, and this incredible
pain in my jaw.  I have never been so scared in my life!! I also made a few deals with God in the ambulance, and now I have to lose weight, and never have ice cream again!! haha  In the ambulance, they did an EKG, and it showed something, that I can't remember a word they said, but my blood pressure was really high, and they tried to get an I.V. and after 20 mins they gave up, and we left for the hospital.  They did a bunch of test's and didn't find anything thank God, but now I am left with what is wrong.  Anyway, I am doing well, and will be back soon.  Karen♥

Winter Card

Hi Y'all, I don't know why I said that, but I just felt like it! haha  I have made a card for fun, and to enter into a challenge that required that there be mittens on the card, so I am asked for mittens, and I shall give mittens!! This will probably be my last post till Monday.  My dog, the Beagle (Daisy) not the chocolate lab (cocoa) is having a sleepover with her brother (Tyler) and sister (Molly)!  I know, I know, it just so happens that when we bought Daisy from a breeder in the town next to us, a couple of families that live in our town, that we are friends with, also so those adorable puppies, and couldn't resist either!  Well the next day at my son's baseball practice we were all talking about what we had done, and we were all shocked that we all did the same thing.  Daisy also has a brother that is owned by the guy that fixes our computer, and a sister that is the sister of a friend of mine!  Now with that said, with 4 dogs in the house for the weekend, I just can't promise that I will get any crafting done!  So, here is what I did today, I hope you like!!

This card was made with Cricut cartridge Joy's of the Season, and Jessica, you will be happy that I have used some twine to connect the mittens, and crystals that I had in my stash, the fur was just some I had lying around.  The stamp, and the scroll around it were ones that I also has lying around!  Well gals, I'm back.  I read the challenge at Trendy Twine all wrong, the only thing that I got right, were the mittens!  The rest was Mittens, Trendy Twine,Pink, buttons, snowflakes,(I guess I did get that right), and Trendy Twine, (and now that I look at the twine, it might not be by Trendy Twine, so I totally created a card for a Challenge, in my head!!! Trust me, my head lately is not a safe place to be! lol  Oh well, back to the drawing board!!! bummer!!  So I have found some new challenges to join, thanks to Carri @  Doubleclickconnections.blogspot.com  They are:

Catching Up On My Cards

Hi Everyone!! I was recently reading my friend Amy's blog, " Scrap This Save That"  and she was talking about how we all have a year to make Christmas cards, and yet like her, I didn't send out nearly the amount of cards that I should have!! Anyway, she has a new plan, and I am jumping right on her band wagon, to make at least 1 Christmas card a week, so that by the time Christmas comes around I should have roughly 50 cards before I really sit down to make my actual Christmas  cards, and maybe I wont be so far behind.  I already have a couple made, I am trying to make at least 2-3 of every kind. I want to show you the first card that I made, there are a few different versions of it, but this is the one that I liked the best, I hope you like:
This was made with gold stickers, I peeled a few pieces off, and left some on, on some of the other cards, I used double sided tape, and when I peeled the pieces off, I added fine glitter, and they really are coming out great, I will share one with you soon. The paper is from Paper trey Ink,Pure Poppy, the gold stickers are from Elizabeth Designs, and the Merry Christmas, I wrote myself with a white gel pen.  So, I hope everyone joins in and builds up your stock of Christmas Cards for next year, and please check out my inspiration for this idea, Amy, at Scrap this Save That!! My Spring Wreath

Hi Guys, Happy 2013!!
Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful New Years!! I had a wonderful day, my hubby was on vacation, so he went back to work on Wednesday:(  While I was watching the parades, and hanging out with my family, playing our new favorite game, "Catch Phrase" it is fun, you will have to try it! Anyway, I saw a wreath that someone made on FB, and I just had to make one, The person that I saw make it was Sarah, on Stampingwithsarah.blogspot.com.  Sarah said that you needed 6 pieces of double sided paper, but I didn't think that was enough, so I think I used 10 sheets of double sided paper.
This is what I came up with.  I tried to pick Spring colors, and I chose the paper from K&Co.
I also added some yellow ribbon from Paper Tray Ink.
So what you need is 10 sheets of double sided paper,
A stryofoam wreath
Common Pins
Ribbon
A pencil
Take 10 sheets of double sided paper, of your choice, cut the paper into 1/2" strips
Take the strips, and curl the around a pen, or pencil, or anything similar,
once you curl all the paper, or you can curl some and pin some, once you have the paper curled, you pin the curled paper into the wreath, all the way around, I liked it very full, but you can make it as full as you like.  before you fill in the top, I wrapped the ribbon around the styrofoam wreath to be able to hang it.  and that is it, very easy, I did it while watching t.v.  I hope you like it! Karen♥
