Welcome Home
This was a little card that I made to welcome my sister's new family dog. I used the doghouse from the new Cricut Lite cartridge Four Legged Friends, and the grass was cut fro Whinnie the Pooh and Friends cartridge. The Welcome stickers were some extras that I had. Their new dog
is a Beagle, and I happened to have a Beagle sticker lying around. I punched out the paw print on the top of the doghouse, and put somw clear stickles inside the holes. I used a brown brad to hang Murphy's new name on her door. The card was cut at 4-1/4x 5-1/2 and the dog house I cut at 3". I hope you like, I know it made my sister smile, at that was the goal! Thanks for stopping by. Karen

Papercutzchallenge #69 anything goes!!
This is the card that I am entering in the papercutzchallenge anything goes. Basically anything you want. I made this card for my neice for her birthday. I used scraps and I am so proud. I was very good at saving my sraps, but I never used them, but I am trying to be better. I used the cartridge Straight From the Nest. I cut the Cupcake layer shadow in tan, and the Cupcake in brown, and then the frosting in white with a pink cherry. I then covered the frosting with glitter glue. Then I sprinkled clear glass beads. I then put more glitter glue on, and sprinkled it with clear glitter. The card was cut at 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 in a moss green. I then cut a piece of white 1/4" smaller than the card, and ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swirl embossing folder. I also cut out the Happy Birthdayin the tan, and then the pink from the cherry, and added the clear glitter. I hope you like it. I am going to get better with the recipes with the cards.

Peachy Keen card of Encouragement Challenge
The Challenge at Peachy Keen Stamps was to make a card using words of encouragement. I fell in love with this little monkey from the Create a Critter Cartridge. I cut him out at 3 inches in a tan cardstock, it was a scrap, so I don't know the brand. I then cut out the outline of the monkey on layer 2 button in a darker brown, again a scrap. I then stamped the face on the monkey using my FIRST Peachy Keen Stamp Set, PK-490 Everyday Character Face and used the biggest one at 1-3/8". I then cut the vines out in a moss green at 4 inches under the accessory button, and then tried to figure out what the encouragement would be, and since he was just hanging there, I came up with the Hang in There! I used the acrylic alphabet letter stamps from Scrappy Cat stamps. I put the letters together on a clear acrylic block and stamped the words. I made a few more of these cards to have on hand, and I found with these stamps that I would stamp each letter separately because they had a lot of acrylic around each letter, and so the words were so spaced out I wasn't liking it to much. I hope you all like my card, and go to Peachy Keen and enter their challenge with me!!

I just got through shoveling a space in my craft room to make some cards, and got everything out and ready to go, and I pushed the power button on my Expression and ........ nothing. No lights, no noises, nothing. :( I think maybe she is mad at me cause I haven't paid any attention to her, I don't know, but I am sad.

Can't Sleep
Hi all, It is 2:00 a.m. and as you can see, I can't sleep. I just got up and went into my craft room, and attempted to make a card, but it is such a mess in there, that It wasn't any fun. I am really going to put my best effort in tomorrow to really get it organized. I am going to make up some boxes 1 to donate, 1 to give away, and 1 to keep for prizes. If I don;t get organized, I feel like I won't get back to what I love to do which id scrap, and craft. So my 12 followers starting tomorrow, that is what I am going to do. Wish me luck. I am going to take a before, and after picture. However I won't put the before pictures up untill the after pictures ae done. There is just to much pressure the other way. Have a good night, or morning depending on where you live. Goodnight :)

The Craft Room Organization Update
Hi all. well things are really moving in my craft room. They have moved from one pile to the next pile. from the floor to the table, from the table to a bin! We did however go out last night and bought a few shelves to put on the walls, in the hope that there would be lessstuff that had to go ontop of a table! With any luck, I should be all ckeaned up and ready to start crafting by Summer of 2011. No I am kidding, I should be ready by the end of Spring at the latest. I will keep you updated!!!

Where did this crafting interest come from?!
I have been crafting my whole life, I started scrapbooking when I was in High School. Although it was nothing like scrapbooking is today. I had those magnetic albums, you know the ones that damage your photos if you keep them in there for any length of time they turn a orange-red type color. I really got into scrapbooking the right way about 18 years ago. I fell in love with anything that had to do with it. I would scrap during the day while the kids were sleeping, and when they went to bed for the night I would get right back to it. I got into Creative Memories, and had crops in my home every friday night. I soon took over Dining Room with scrapbooks, die cuts, glue sticks, tape runners, and of course PAPER!! I would never have believed that a human being could become so emotionally attached to paper, I loved to buy it, use it, alter it, ect. I then decided that I would take over another room in the house that I thought I would set it up, and it would be wonderful, except for the fact that I am the messiest crafter in the free world. I can't seem to take something out, and when I am done just put it away. It seems like an easy concept, but i just can't seem to grasp it!! I had to stop my friday night crops because I was diagnose with Lupus. For those of you who do not know what that is, I didn't either when the doctor told me that I had it. What it is basically, is an auto-immune disorder, and it causes joint pain, a rash on and off on my face, and a few other annoying symtoms. Anyway, I was in and out of the hospital because of another annoying disease called Colitis. I had trouble committing to every friday night crop cause I never knew how I was going to feel. I also have been decorating cakes on and off, since I was in high school. I deceided to start decorating again this year, and it has changed so much since then, it is a whole different craft now. There are new techniques it seems every day, and like scrapbooking, it just keeps getting better. So I hope you will take a look at my pictures, and if there is something that interests you, please email me. I will be putting up new pictures soon. I have some pictures of some murals that I have painted on my nephews wall in his room, and also in my sons room, so if you are interested in something like that, they will be added soon. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed looking around.
